546,000 Euro in total prize money, five show-jumping competitions which will count towards the Longines world rankings, and quite possibly the most beautiful arena in the whole of Austria! With this basic information, the Vienna Masters has once again successfully enticed the world’s best riders to Vienna’s Rathausplatz (Town Hall square). In exciting five-star examinations, winning and achieving a high-placed finish will mean everything, just as it will in Austria’s only international pony dressage and the newly-introduced working equitation competition. Prediction: it will be absolutely unmissable!

Excitement & sport – the highlights in the 5-star show-jumping course
On Friday (18.9) the CSI5* main jumping competition at the Vienna Masters will take place under the light of a very special star – that of its sponsor Mercedes Benz! This prestigious jumping competition includes obstacles between 1.5 and 1.6m high and prize money of 61,500 Euro, guaranteeing a starting field of the highest class!

On Saturday (19.9), the Longines Global Champions tour of Vienna, presented by LGT, has traditionally been characterised by a particularly electric atmosphere. This year will be no different. As well as competing for 300,000 Euro in prize money, riders will here have the chance at gaining qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Sunday (20.9) will be labelled “Glock meets Vienna”. For Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Vienna Masters 2015, the Rathausplatz will be transformed into the unique world of Glock perfection. Specially designed obstacles, one-of-a-kind floral decoration, GLOCK-style trophies, lovingly selected music and competitors battling for 60,000 Euro in prize money make this a must-see for equestrian sport fans.

Tradition & modernity – international working equitation premiere
This will be seen by spectators for the first time at the Rathausplatz! World-renowned stars from Portugal, France, Germany and Austria will display the fine art of old European working equitation – newly interpreted. Leading the high-calibre starting field is last year’s individual world and team world and European champion Bruno Pica de Conceicao from Portugal, with his stallion “Trinco”. His teammate Eduardo Almeida – another team world and European champion – will most certainly add to the already stiff competition here with his horse “Santo”.

Austria has its own hot irons in the fire here with Karoline Vogel and “Favory Maestoso” (fifth in the 2014 world championship), her teammate Nina Raidl with “Sir Marlon” and Martina Weteschnik riding “Bogalho”. Exciting speed duels, and above all one-handed rein management, which is promoted in all areas of competition, will certainly excite all fans and not only working equitation enthusiasts.
