In today’s 1.15m obstacle DFG Event bronze tour, 27 participants battled it out for the Hirter Brewery prize. Nine rider-horse partnerships completed the course without errors, with Gustavo Mirabal of Venezuela posting the fastest time. Riding 9-year-old KWPN gelding G and C Jartrum, Mirabal completed the examination in 51.50 seconds. In doing so, he outpaced reigning Austrian youth champion and R34 team rider Marie Christine Sebesta of Vienna, riding Olala 2, by almost 2 seconds, with Sebesta finishing in 53.23 seconds. Guy Hodgson of Britain, riding Avalon 305 (son of Lancelot), came in third with a time of 59.14 seconds.
Other high-placed finishers for Austria were R34 team rider Johanna Biber (Lower Austria) on Sonnenbluemchen B (5.), Sidra Kuzbari (Lower Austria) on Condatino 2 (6.) along with the third R34 team member of the association Katharina Biber (Lower Austria) riding Arpeggio’s Son (7.). Also riding on home soil, Josefina Goess-Saurau (Burgenland/Chanel de Tij Z), Magdalena Margreiter (Lower Austria/Cassiair), Natalie Magyer (Lower Austria/Corona 2) and Brigitte Prömer (Tirol/Loroville) finished in positions nine to twelve.
