2-STAR JUMP SanLucar GOLD TOUR FINALE – In recent days we had two 15-year-old winners to celebrate in one of the three international 2-star tours at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna, in the form of Harry Allen (IRL) and Sheer Levitin (USA). Today (Sat 17.9) in the SanLucar Gold Tour Finale (1.45m), just-turned 15-year-old Dominik Juffinger added his name to that list.

The s.Oliver team rider was able to secure victory with a spirited ride (0/38.52) on 13-year-old Westfalia gelding Copido (offspring of Copilot). “I am very proud. Copido fought superbly as always!” he beamed at the award ceremony. Dominik has already proven his talent by competing in the Tyrolean championships, where he secured the title in the general class, thereby jumping over two junior categories (junior and young riders). Additionally, the s.Oliver team rider used the summer holidays to put in a month of solid training with his idol Max Kühner.

28-year-old Wesley Newlands (CAN) – a pupil of Daniel Deusser (GER) – was forced to concede defeat by a mere 13 hundredths of a second in the saddle of 13-year-old KWPN mare Wieminka. He was nevertheless happy with second place (0/39.05). Riley Schulyer (USA) and her Oldenburger Ninou came third (0/40.58). The duo were amongst five pairs to complete the jump-off course without any errors. In total, eight rider-and-horse pairs qualified for the jump-off in the SanLucar Gold Tour Final, from 12 starting pairs (which is the international norm).
