Christian Schranz ensures a red-white-red victory in CSI2* Silver Tour
In today’s CSI2* Silver Tour, Christian Schranz of Lower Austria clinched Austria’s first-ever win in an international examination at the Vienna Masters – resulting in understandable jubilation in the packed stands. A masterful, faultless performance with 13-year-old Whisper von Lichten CH over the 1.25m jumps (0/45.61) meant that Johanna Sixt, the young rider from Burgenland riding Lillifee, was forced back into second place. Place three in the Silver Tour was also firmly in Austria’s grasp, with Jörg Domaingo of Lower Austria, riding 13-year-old gelding Vangelo, navigating the course flawlessly in an impressive 47.62 seconds.
